The Calprotectin ELISA test is a quantitative method for determination of calprotectin in stool samples and can be used as an aid to:

  • distinguish IBD (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) from IBS;
  • select children for endoscopy;
  • determine disease activity and risk of relapse in IBD;
  • monitor IBD treatment response;
  • determine when a clinical remission has been achieved.
